Fellowship Program : Biotechnology JRF/SRF Positions, IIT Guwahati

Applications are invited for one post of SRF(Professional)/SRF/JRF at the Department of Biotechnology, IIT Guwahati for the project entitled “ Purification, Characterization and Production of Microbial Cutinase ” funded by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

Fellowship For SRF (Professional): Rs. 15,000/ per month, SRF: Rs. 14,000/ per month, JRF: Rs. 12,000/ per month + HRA and Medical allowance as per the institute rules.

 

Essential Qualifications

SRF Professional:

M. Tech in Biotechnology/Biochemical Engineering or equivalent/ B. Techin Biotechnology/B. Pharm or equivalent with at least two years of relevant research experience.

SRF:
M. Tech in Biotechnology/Biochemical Engineering or equivalent or M. Sc. in Life Sciences//B. Tech in Biotechnology/B. Pharm with at least two years of relevant research experience.

JRF:
M. Sc. in Life sciences with valid GATE Score or qualification of NET/LS/equivalent test conducted by ICAR/ICMR.

 

Desirable Qualifications:
First division throughout academic career. Experience in protein purification, PCR, cloning and expression of gene (s) using bacterial expression system (s) will be given priority.

Terms and conditions:
The appointment shall be on yearly contractual basis (up to Aug. 2011) subject to the performance of the candidate in the project work.
