IIT-JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION for admission in Indian Institutes of Technology (Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras & Roorkee). IIT-BHU, Varanasi and Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.

Pattern of Examination:
The examination will consist of two papers, each of three hours duration. Paper-1 and Paper-2 will
each have three separate sections on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Both papers will be of objective type, designed to test comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability of candidates.
Aptitude tests for B. Arch. and B. Des. Programmes will be conducted for those candidates who qualify in JEE and are desirous of joining these programmes. Syllabus is available on the websites of all IITs and the Information Brochureof JEE.

Eligibility:
Candidates must meet ALL the following conditions:
A candidate can attempt JEE only twice, in consecutive years. Candidates who have passed (10+2) or equivalent qualifying examination in last year or will be appearing in current year, and secure 60% or more [55% or more for SC/ST and Persons with Physical Disability (PD)] marks in aggregate in their respective Board Examination are eligible. If any Board awards only letter-grades, the candidate should obtain a certificate from the Board specifying equivalent percentage marks. In case the
respective Board awards letter-grades without providing norms for converting them to equivalent percentage marks, the norms decided by the Joint Implementation Committee, JEE shall be final.
Candidates should not have accepted admission by paying full fees at any of the IITs, IT-BHU, Varanasi, and
ISM, Dhanbad through JEE.
