TCS
learning centre on IIT-Guwahati campus
Tata
Consultancy Services (TCS) inked a memorandum of understanding with the
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati, for setting up a TCS learning
center on the IIT campus and to develop collaboration in research and
development based on mutual interests. As part of this initiative, TCS also
signed a lease agreement with the Guwahati Development Department (GDD) for
taking 50 flats in the National Games Village here on lease for a period of
three years.
This was the first investment initiative in
the northeast by an IT major; it was also the first collaboration between TCS
and an IIT..........

Lucknow Launches National Business Plan Competition Nirvaan 2007
Abhiyan, the entrepreneurship cell of IIM Lucknow, announces the launch of Nirvaan, the National Business Plan Competition. This event is held year after year for five years now with great success. Nirvaan, the Annual Entrepreneurship Event, is an initiative guided towards fostering the spirit of entrepreneurship among the younger generation of India.
Nirvaan goes beyond the B-Plans by offering incubation facility to the winners, which makes it unique. Nirvaan has also become the forum for the participants to interact closely with Indias top entrepreneurs, to showcase their business ideas and to get a feedback. The talks and interactive sessions by entrepreneurs also help the participants to understand the entrepreneurial experiences.
