Eligibility:

PhD (Engineering): M.Tech in Metallurgical/Mineral/ /Chemical/Mechanical Engg (for Metal forming and Mechanical Metallurgy) or Materials Science: They must have GATE Score for M.Tech (within top 20 percentile); CGPA or CPI: more than 8.0; having consistently good academic record from wellknown universities/institutes.

PhD (Science): M.Sc Students having NET-JRF or Lecturership: M.Sc Students must have passed B.Sc with Phys, Chem and Math. (Net Lecturership Rank should be within top 20 percentile) having consistently good academic record from well-known universities/institutes

Fast Track PhD in Engineering: Fresh B.Tech or equivalent (GATE qualified with ranks within the top 10 percentile) having CPI of 9/10 in the area of Metallurgical/Mineral /Chemical/Mechanical Engg from well-known universities/institutes.
Selection:
Selection for admission to the Ph.D. Program shall be on the basis of interview of short listed candidates at CSIR-NML. The interview for selection will be conducted at CSIRNML, Jamshedpur.
