News : Ex-IITians to show the way
A voluntary group called I-Desire would hold a workshop for IIT aspirants from Bihar.
The organisation consist of people who studied or are studying in IIT.
The co-ordinator of I-Desire, Pratik Vimal, a student of IIT Kanpur, said: “We will hold a workshop from June 12 to June 23 at Public School at AN College.”
Interested students can register for the workshop between 9am and 6pm from June 13 to June 22.
Prashant Kumar, another student of IIT Kanpur who is co-ordinating the workshop, said: “We will create a common discussion platform where students will interact with teachers of mathema- tics, physics and chemistry and seek guidance for the entrance tests.”
Kumar said a large number of students would attend the workshop. They would have to write a test and pass after the workshop, said the IIT Kanpur student.
Experts from I-Desire would choose 40 Class XII students and 10 students who have passed Class X examinations. These students would be guided by the experts through emails and phones for seven to eight months.
The group, however, made it clear that it was not a coaching institute.
