Mock CAT Tests On Mobile Phones

The SNDT Women’s University will soon use mobile phones to conduct exams. The varsity has launched a pilot project for mobile education that will train students to prepare for the Common Admission Test via mock tests.

Students can give the mocks tests just about anywhere. Once done, results will be seen on the phone.

“The technology for this project will be in place on March 1 with the tests flagging off on the same day,” said Vice-Chancellor of SNDT Women’s University Chandra Krishnamurthy.

Students from moffusil areas and the physically challenged will benefit. Those who have Internet access, can fill their admission forms online while others will receive the forms via post.

“Once the course content is sent to students, the examination will be conducted over the phone with no written test. Study material will also be available online,” said Krishnamurthy.
