(News)Rajasthan Govt. Demands Setting up IIT in Kota

The Government of Rajasthan has asked the Central Government to consider setting up an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Kota, Industry Minister Digamber Singh said. Addressing a function in the state capital, Singh said, "Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has already sent a letter to the Centre asking it to set up an IIT at Kota."

Claiming that Kota was the most ideal location for setting up the elite IIT in Rajasthan, he further said that Rajasthan had already become a hub for technical education in northern India. An IIT was, thus, required in this part of the country.
