Joint Entrance Test (JET) : 2011 (3 Years Diploma Courses)

Applications are invited from candidates desirous of seeking admission to diploma courses in the institutions (located in Punjab and Chandigarh-UT) affiliated to the Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training. Admissions will be made on the basis of inter-se-merit of (JET) Joint Entrance Test to be held on 15th May, 2011

Eligibility :

Students who have appeared in matriculation examination or who have already passed the matriculation examination can apply for the JET-2011. However, the candidates who have appeared in the matriculation examination will be eligible for admission only if they are able to pass the matriculation or equivalent examination from a recognised Board.

(Tool & Die).

Cost of prospectus-cum-Application form:

At the Counter of the office of the Board or designated branches of Punjab National Bank or Institutions Rs. 250/-

Fee - to be submitted along with JET Application Form:

  • All candidates (other than SC/ST) Rs. 1000/-
  • Scheduled Castes and ST Candidates only Rs. 750/- 

Note: If the application is being sent to the Board by post, Fee should be sent through Bank Draft in favour of "Secretary, Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training" payable at "Chandigarh", However if the Application Form is submitted in the designated banks then the applicant should deposit the same in the form of cash and obtain proper receipt. 

Examination Scheme:

JET-2011 will have one paper of 200 questions (English-40, General Awareness and PART - I Aptitude-40, Mathematics-40, Physics-40, Chemistry-40). The unit wise allocation of marks is given along with syllabus. The question paper will be printed both in English and Punjabi. 

Submission of Application Form:

The JET Application Form(also referred to as OMR Form) complete in all respects should be enclosed in the envelop supplied with the prospectus and deposited at a designated Bank branch listed at page 2-4. The examination fee should be paid in cash @ Rs. 1000/- (for General and other categories) and Rs. 750/- (for SC/ST) along with the application form in one of the bank branches of Punjab National Bank. In case the application form is sent by post/courier, it should be accompanied by Demand Draft of Rs. Rs. 1000/- (for General and other categories) and Rs. 750/- (for SC/ST) drawn in the favour of "Secretary, Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training" payable at "Chandigarh". However, candidates are advised to submit the forms at the bank branches and get the required acknowledgement.
